2008 Symposium is complete. A big "THANK
YOU" to all those who participated in this
event. We couldn't have done it without you!
If you were not able to make all of the sessions, some
of the Power Point presentations will be available
online soon. Photos from the event will also be
made available. Be sure to mark your calendar for
the 14th Annual Symposium September 15-17, 2009 at the
Holiday Inn in Minot, North Dakota.

Agenda
The
conference will begin with a golf tournament, tours and
picnic social on Tuesday, September 9th.
Presentations will begin at the Alerus Center
(Ballroom #4) on Wednesday, September 10th and finish at
1:00
p.m.
on
Thursday afternoon. There will also be tours on
Wednesday afternoon. Check out the full

Attendees
The
attendee rates are $140 for members and $200 for
non-members. See the registration
form or our membership
page to see if you are a member.
Exhibitors
Our exhibitor space is now full.
If you cannot make it, and are
interested in getting your information out to all
attendees, you can "Stuff your Stuff" for
$100. You can also get your name and services out
to our attendees through being a sponsor for the
conference. There are several sponsorship
levels available. See the exhibitor
and sponsor details. New
this year: Exhibitors will be asked to
select/reserve their booth when they register (by
selecting their top three location choices on the registration
map/form). Electricity for booths will be an
additional $15; be sure to select this option on the registration
form.
Hotel
Information
A
block of rooms are available for $85/night plus tax at
the CanadInns, the hotel connected to the
Alerus
Center.
To reserve your room, call (701) 772-8404. A
smaller block of rooms has also been reserved for
$60/night plus tax at the Ramada Inn (800-570-3951) and
at the Guesthouse (formerly the Best Western;
701-746-5411). Please make sure to ask for the
"Solid Waste and Recycling Conference" block
of rooms to get the discount rate. The discount
rate may not apply after August 20th.
Tuesday's
Events:
Join
us for our annual golf tournament at King's Walk Golf
Course in Grand
Forks
(1 p.m.).
See the registration form to sign up. For those
not up for golf, tours will also take place on Tuesday
afternoon (the Grand Forks Landfill, Waste Management's
Material Recovery Facility, Univ. of North Dakota's new
"green" housing unit and the Grand Forks
Greenway). All attendees are encouraged to attend
the picnic and social at Lincoln
Park Drive
starting at 5 p.m.
Register at the park on Tuesday night or at the Alerus
Center
on
Wednesday morning.
